On a bright sunny day 135 parishioners and 75 children gathered to celebrate the Solemnity of The Body and Blood of Christ, also known as Corpus Christi. The children were those who had just taken part in their First Holy Communion, accompanied by our altar servers.

Following a moving Service in Our Lady's Church, the whole congregation followed the Blessed Sacrament, housed in a monstrance and processed through the school grounds to the Prayer Garden where a temporary altar had been set up. The Blessed Sacrament was placed on the altar and a few short prayers were said, followed by Benediction when Father George gave Benediction and blessed those assembled.

This action means that it is Christ himself who is offering a blessing to his Faithful People. After the blessing everyone processed back to the Church for photographs, followed by an enjoyable picnic which had the additional blessing of warm sunshine to round off a wonderful occasion!
