Our Lady's

Every Tuesday from 6.30-7.30 pm our Prayer Group meets in Our Lady's for quiet prayer and Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. It is a time of peace and quiet in our hectic world where we can take some quality time for our selves. Time to think of our loved ones who have gone before us. Time to think of family, friends and others who may be suffering. Time to bring our troubles to the Lord and spend some time with him. Or time just to be still and leave our cares and worries behind for an hour.

Everyone is welcome to join us. Either come and just sit quietly or introduce yourself to Bridie and Ronnie who will make you feel at ease and very welcome.

Our Children

In today's world, from almost the moment they get up our children are bombarded with messages on television, personal computers, smart phones, tablets. These relentless messages tell them if they want to be happy they need to wear this logo or buy that latest gadget. They spend hours playing App Games or on their Playstations of X-boxes, totally isolated from society in some imaginery world or other.

This quiet hour is an opportunity for them to be introduced into the power of silence in their lives. An opportunity for them to escape for 5 minutes, or 10 or 15 into a world which will be completely new to them. It's a chance for them to think of themselves and others free from the false messages they constantly receive from the media. Before the Blessed Sacrament they might even come to understand what message Jesus has to tell them. Of course, they may think us mad if we ask them - but if we don't try, we'll never know.

Not Catholic? No Problem!

If you are from another Faith Denomination, an atheist or just someone interested to know more you would be more than welcome to join us. Escape for a short while from the hectic, chaotic world that is our lives these days. Enjoy some time away from the pressures of everyday life. Relax. Breathe slowly. Quiet your mind. Luxuriate in the silence. Who knows you might even find you really enjoy it!

You will not be approached unless you ask for some help or information. Please ask for Bridie or Ronnie and you will be well taken care of.

St Martin's

After every Wednesday Mass the Parish prays The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy.

Our Lord gave the Chaplet of Divine Mercy to St Faustina. She prayed it almost constantly, especially for the dying. The Lord urged her to encourage others to pray it too, promising extraordinary graces to those who would recite this special prayer. The Parish of the Divine Saviour continues to honour this popular devotion.

Among Christians, the title "Perpetual Help" is one of the better known titles of the Mother of God, especially among the most needy and afflicted who feel the need for love and protection. The original picture is an Eastern Icon that represents the Virgin of the Passion, painted to inspire hope and prayer. Its spiritual message far surpasses its artistic beauty. An icon is much more than the representation of a person or a historical event. The Icon of Perpetual Help raises our consciousness of the mysteries of the Redemption in Christ and of the intercession of Mary in favor of those who follow Christ, here in the arms of His Holy Mother.
